Founded over a century ago, the £140m turnover office equipment firm offers an extensive range of products and services, aimed at streamlining the process of workplace equipment procurement for businesses. The team has now expanded in Leeds, taking occupation of the 18,200 sqft unit on Royds Lane.
At its new modern premises, OfficeTeam will benefit from a single detached bay unit, incorporating a two-storey office space. With a working height of 7.1 metres, a mobile crane and a large loading bay at the front of the building, the space is ideally suited to the company’s operations and presents a high circulation efficiency.
Situated at the well-established Turnkey Park Industrial Estate, the site also has the advantage of security fencing and lockable gates.
Towngate’s property manager Tom Lamb also commented on the new let: “The West Yorkshire region is proving ever more popular with national suppliers and distributors, so we are delighted to welcome Office Team as a tenant to the Towngate portfolio. We look forward to working with them over the coming years.”
Leeds-based property agent Carter Towler assisted with marketing the unit and Nigel Tapp & Co acted on behalf of Office Team to supported both firms throughout the leasing process.
Joint director at Carter Towler, Josh Holmes, added: “We are delighted to have completed this letting on behalf of Towngate. We didn’t have a days void which just highlights the demand for well-located industrial property at present.”
OfficeTeam’s occupancy announcement comes at a busy time for Towngate. The property specialist has recently launched the first phase of the construction of units TL1 and TL2 at Towngate Link, Cross Green – due for completion in February 2019 – and signed long-term client Allied Glass as the new tenant for its revamped 300,000 sqft Copperworks site.
