Leep Utilities to Energise FoodStars' New Sites

Leep Utilities to Energise FoodStars' New Sites

Leep Utilities has been awarded the contract to adopt the electricity networks for six of FoodStars’ new sites, including the commercial kitchen provider’s first offering outside of London.

Expanding quickly, FoodStars provides flexible kitchen space for a diverse range of well-known food and drink vendors. As part of a sustained expansion plan, the business will open the sites in swift succession over the coming months.

The first site is set to be energised less than three months after Leep’s appointment; with plans for the additional five sites, spanning London, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester, to be energised by the end of March.

Leep’s proactive and innovative approach has remained fundamental in supporting FoodStars’ demanding growth strategy.

As a multi-utility network owner and operator, Leep is responsible for the adoption of electricity, gas, water and heat networks across the UK. With the same commitment to providing superior standards in customer service and experience, Leep will work closely with Ingenious Power Engineering (IPE) on the project.

Offering a single point of contact on every project, Leep prides itself on delivering straightforward connections to match client needs. Discussing the multi-utility provider’s flexible approach, Head of Strategic Accounts, Paul Ellis, said: “This will be Leep’s quickest energisation on record. It is a testament to the team’s fantastic work and our ongoing commitment to providing straightforward connections at every stage of the process.

“We work hard to ensure that we remain on the cutting edge of utility delivery and to ensure that our strengths match the varied needs of our clients. We are looking forward to continuing to work with FoodStars and IPE to realise their upcoming expansion plans.”

The energisation of FoodStars’ new sites follows a number of significant events for Leep, including the recent energisation of Wood Wharf, the Canary Wharf Group’s new district.

Leep is backed by Ancala Partners LLP (‘Ancala’), an independent investment management firm and The Peel Group, one of the UK’s leading private real estate investment and infrastructure companies.

"This will be Leeps quickest energisation on record. It is a testament to the teams fantastic work and our ongoing commitment to providing straightforward connections at every stage of the process."
