St-Helens-based ATG Access, the world’s leading innovator of road blockers, bollards and barriers, has been crowned Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m) at Insider's 2019 Made in the North West Awards.
The awards are a celebration of all that's great about manufacturing and shine a light on the region’s most innovative and dynamic firms. The awards also recognise those who are achieving excellence in training and apprenticeships.
ATG Access faced stiff competition from an eight-strong shortlist, but came out on top to be awarded the accolade. The judges said ATG Access has developed every aspect of its business and praised it for its excellence and outstanding contribution to the manufacturing sector in the region.
ATG will now compete against seven other regional winners for the national title of Manufacturer of the Year at the Made in the UK awards in June.
As well as developing and manufacturing cutting edge security products for site-specific requirements, ATG now supplies its products to over 42 countries, helping to protect many major critical infrastructure projects.
Gavin Hepburn, managing director at ATG Access, said: “We are passionate and take great pride in designing and manufacturing innovative and market leading security solutions.
“Winning this prestigious award is therefore testatment to the entire team’s dedication and hard work, and we now look forward to competing in the national competition next month.”
